A Texas BBQ sauce that goes good with pulled pork or a brisket.
Ingredients
- 1/2 lbs butter
- 1/2 yellow onion
- 1 1/2 cups no high-fructose corn syrup ketchup
- 1/2 cup apple cider vinegar
- 2 oz. packed light brown sugar
- Little better than 1 tsp kosher salt
- Little better than 1 tsp black pepper
- Little less than 1 tsp chili powder
- Little less than 1 tsp of garlic powder
- 1/2 of a lemon juice squeezed
Directions
- Heat up a stainless-steel stock pot
- Add butter in the already hot stock pot
- While the butter is melting, cut and add the yellow onion
- Let the yellow onion cook in the butter
- Add ketchup, apple cider vinegar, brown sugar, salt, pepper, chili powder and lemon juice
- Let simmer for a wee bit
