Ingredients
- ¼ cup + 3 tablespoons chili powder
- 1 tablespoon + ½ teaspoon ground cumin
- 1 tablespoon + ½ teaspoon ground paprika
- 1 tablespoon + ½ teaspoon sea salt
- 1 tablespoon + ½ teaspoon ground black pepper
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 1¾ teaspoon garlic powder
- 1¾ teaspoon onion powder
- 1¾ teaspoon dried oregano
- 1 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes or ½ teaspoon cayenne pepper
Directions
- Stir together all of the ingredients in an airtight container or glass jar. Store at room temperature.
To Use with Taco Meat
- Brown the meat (ground beef or chicken) over medium heat until cooked through. Drain. Return to the stove over medium-high heat and add ⅔ cup of water and 2 tablespoons of the taco seasoning mix. Simmer, stirring frequently, until all of the liquid has evaporated, 3 to 5 minutes.
